Scientific Seminar of AHFB held at DU

A day-long Annual Scientific Seminar of Association of Humboldt Fellows Bangladesh (AHFB) was held today November 16, 2024 at CARS seminar room of Dhaka University (DU). DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed inaugurated the seminar while Ambassador of Germany in Bangladesh Mr. Achim Troster addressed it as chief guest.

President of AHFB Prof. Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoq presided over the inaugural session while Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University Prof. Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology Prof. Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury and Vice-Chancellor of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University Prof. Dr. Mohammed Enamullah addressed it as special guests.

DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed said, renowned scientists and researchers of the world receive the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship for their outstanding knowledge and research works through a highly competitive process. Humboldt Awardees of Bangladesh have been playing significant role to conduct scientific research in our country. Joint collaborative research programs among Dhaka University and various German universities will be strengthened through this organization, he hoped.

German Ambassador Mr. Achim Troster said the Humboldt Research Fellowship is playing an important role in enhancing mutual relationship among teachers, researchers and scientists of the world. The activities of this organization will be further expanded through scientific research and innovation, he hoped. German government will continue their support and cooperation to the scientists and young researchers of Bangladesh.

It may be mentioned that members of AHFB from different universities participated in the seminar.
