Mr. Kenji Kimura, Managing Director of MUFG Bank Ltd (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group), a Japanese Bank paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan today December 03, 2025 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by Mr. Ahmas Saveem Rab, officials of the same Bank.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including providing financial support for DU financial challenged students. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan sought cooperation from MUFG Bank Managing Director in increasing number of scholarship for DU students.

It may be mentioned that every year, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Foundation, Japan provides scholarship to 24 students of different departments and institutes of DU. Each student is given $ 450 (US dollar) per year as scholarship.
