Ms. Most. Sadia Akter, a former student of the 11th batch of the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS), has joined the MIS department as a faculty member. She has completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the same department and has had outstanding academic performance. She secured 1st position both in BBA and MBA degrees, respectively. In recognition of her excellent academic performance, she was awarded the Ruqayyah Memorial Foundation Merit Scholarship 2020 from the Ruqayyah Hall. Likewise, she was awarded some prestigious accolades such as the University Grant Commission (UGC) Scholarship, Graduate and Post-graduate Scholarship, etc. Furthermore, she is also eligible for the President Gold Medal, Dean's Honor Award, and Dean's Merit Award.
Before joining the MIS department, Ms. Sadia served as a lecturer at the Department of Business Administration-General of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and the Business Administration of Bangladesh University. She underwent two months of intense Faculty Development Program (FDP) training at BUP. She has acquired knowledge of several teaching methods, including andragogy, pedagogy, active learning, Bloom Taxonomy, Jigsaw approaches, and critical thinking.
Ms. Sadia, a lifelong and aspirant learner in the field of MIS, is trying to engage herself in research-based activities. Her research interests are FinTech, Technology, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, and Information Systems. Moreover, she has published in diverse high-impact journals, including Q2 and Q4, in reputed publishers such as Emerald and Sage. Similarly, she presented her work at an international conference organized by the University of Belgrade, BOR, Serbia. The conference panel marked this paper as one of the best of 110 research papers. Additionally, she oversees one UGC-funded project as a project director.
