ISRT Golden Jubilee Medal Awarded to Md. Delower Hussain Shipon on January 27, 2026
Md. Delower Hussain Shipon, a Master’s student (batch 27) of the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka, has been awarded the ISRT Golden Jubilee Medal 2025 in recognition of achieving the highest CGPA in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Statistics examination. The medal and certificate were formally conferred by Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Dhaka, at a ceremony held on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at the institute auditorium. Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The programme was chaired by Professor Dr. Tamanna Howladar, Director of ISRT. Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Science, was present as the Special Guest, while the Convenor of the Organising Committee, Professor Dr. Md. Israt Rayhan, delivered the welcome address. Faculty members, students, and guardians of the institute were also in attendance.
Congratulating the award recipient, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed remarked that this achievement is a matter of great pride not only for the student but also for the university as a whole. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts among teachers, researchers, and students to advance education and research, noting that coordinated initiatives are essential for attaining the university’s desired position in international rankings. He further encouraged talented students to contribute to cutting-edge research that would enhance the University of Dhaka’s global reputation.
