On 1st of February 2025, the Career Counseling Club successfully organized the 2nd meeting (webinar) on higher studies abroad which focused on providing an exposure to the students about higher education opportunities in Europe and America. The event received an overwhelming response, where approximately 95 participants joined this session. Attendees included current students, information professionals, and alumni, all eager to explore international academic prospects.
The webinar featured three distinguished alumni of the ISLM department who shared their experiences and insights on pursuing master’s and Ph.D. programs in USA, Denmark and Finland. The speakers were Shohana Bhuiyan, a Ph.D. student at Indiana University, USA; Tazbir Tonmoy, a master’s student at Aalborg University, Denmark; and Anika Hossen, a master’s student from Abo Academy, Finland. Their discussions covered various aspects of international education, including application procedures, scholarship opportunities, academic and cultural transitions, and career prospects of post-graduation.
The webinar was moderated by the ISLM Career Counseling Club advisor Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam. Chairman of the ISLM Department Professor Dr. Md. Roknuzzaman highlighted the faculty’s dedication to student success, and another ISLM3C advisor Professor Dr. Md. Shiful Islam motivated students to explore global academic opportunities with a clear roadmap.
