On May 21, 2024, the Centre for China Studies (CCS) received the visiting delegation of the Institute of International Relations from Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). The delegation was headed by Professor Wang Jian, Director of the Institute of International Relations from SASS, who was accompanied by Professor Tang Wei, Director of the Department of International Strategy and China’s Diplomacy, Associate Professor Liu Jinqian, Executive Director of the Department of South Asia and Indian Ocean Studies, and Assistant Professor Wang Chengzhi.
Dr. Li Hongmei, Executive Deputy Director of the CCS, briefed the delegation on the development planning, mission and progress of related activities of the CCS. Both sides conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges regarding how to facilitate people-to-people exchange between China and Bangladesh and push ahead with the high-quality development of China-Bangladesh relations.
