On the morning of June 8, 2024, the Bangladesh Young Leaders Delegation to China 2024 experienced the impressive speed, convenience, stability and comfort of China’s high-speed rail system on their journey from Shanghai to Beijing.
Upon arrival in the capital in the afternoon, the delegation visited the 798 Art Zone and the 751 Art Zone respectively, immersing themselves in the vibrant energy of China's burgeoning cultural and creative sectors. Accompanying the delegation were esteemed officials and scholars, including Zhang Jiu’an, Director of the Department of Scientific Research Management and International Cooperation from the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, Feng Ying, Deputy Director of the Department of International Training and Education from the CICG Institute of International Studies and Advanced Learning, Qiao Xin, an official from the same institute, Li Hongmei, Executive Deputy Director of the Centre for China Studies (SIIS-DU), and Zhu Shicheng, an official of the Department of Think Tank Development and Scientific Research Management from the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. The 798 Art Zone is home to a variety of art institutions, from galleries and design studios to art display spaces, artists’ workshops, and fashion shops. The delegation especially learned about the unique design of the art zone, its art display spaces, characteristic shops, and the stories behind its development. At the 751 Art Zone, they explored the Project Sanxingdui Encounter, uncovering the archeological wonders of the ancient Shu civilization.
