Marzia Tamanna brings a fresh perspective to the Management Information Systems department at the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Dhaka. As a newly joined lecturer, she is committed to providing students with innovative and engaging teaching methods. With her expertise in the field, Marzia Tamanna is poised to make a significant impact on the department and contribute to the success of her students.
She earned both her BBA and MBA degrees from the same department with outstanding results. Additionally, she has published scientific articles in several reputable journals (Like Elsevier, Springer, Copernican, etc.) in the fields of IOT, Fintech, social media factors, AI, SDGs Goals and M-health is her current field of interest.
She has consistently displayed outstanding academic performance throughout her educational journey. Her outstanding achievements were recognized and celebrated by prestigious institutions through numerous awards and accolades. These accolades serve as a testament to her talents, skills, and dedication to her work. She Got a University Merit Scholarship for an excellent result in B.B.A & M.B.A. program. She was awarded by the University of Dhaka for her HSC examination results and was granted the “Bangladesh Government Scholarship” for Secondary results (Top 200 Students from Dhaka Board). She got the “Chairman Award” & “Managing Director Award” from Sonali Bank Limited for brilliant results in secondary and Higher Secondary exams.
She served as a senior lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, East-West University (Concentration: MIS), where she also served as a Lecturer for two years. Before that, she worked as an adjunct faculty at Far-east International University, Department of Business Administration.
Presently, her research focuses on several key areas, including the use of modern technology for entrepreneurs, the implementation and effects of AI, evaluating the potential and challenges of IoT in education, exploring the benefits and challenges of the Internet of Things (IoT), and investigating factors that affect the adoption of fintech.
