October 30, 2026, the BBA 30th Batch of the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka, embarked on an enriching industrial visit to Cotton Club (BD) Ltd. (CCL) and CCL-2, a concern of Mondol Group of Industries, located in South Jarun, Kashimpur, Gazipur. As a vertically integrated knit composite garment manufacturer, Cotton Club offers end-to-end apparel solutions, providing students with an opportunity to explore the operational dynamics of Bangladesh’s textile and RMG industry firsthand.

The visit offered an extensive overview of the manufacturing value chain across both facilities. At Cotton Club (BD) Ltd., students explored dyeing, washing, printing, merchandising and seamless product showrooms, and the Reverse Osmosis (RO) section. At CCL-2, they observed key manufacturing stages, including knitting, cutting, sewing, and finishing. Through departmental tours and interactions with experienced professionals, students gained practical insights into production management, machinery utilization, quality control, supply chain coordination, merchandising, and the interconnected processes that transform raw materials into finished garments. The experience also highlighted how operational efficiency, product quality, and cross-functional coordination contribute to organizational competitiveness and customer value.

The entire visit was conducted under the esteemed leadership of Professor Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan, with the valuable guidance and support of Shahedul Hasan, Lecturer, Department of Marketing. The Department also extends its sincere gratitude to the management and officials of Cotton Club (BD) Ltd. and Mondol Group of Industries for their warm hospitality, cooperation, and insightful contributions. Special appreciation goes to everyone involved in organizing and facilitating this educational initiative.

Beyond the factory floor, this experience served as a valuable bridge between academic knowledge and practical business operations. It broadened students’ understanding of the apparel manufacturing industry and demonstrated how different business functions work together to create and deliver value. Such initiatives strengthen practical learning, expand professional perspectives, and prepare future marketers to navigate the realities of the corporate world.
